Schenker Deutschland AG has specialized globally in automobile logistics for 15 years and among others it supplies Volkswagen and Audi factories in Germany and abroad with assembly and spare parts.
DB Schenker Automotive RailNet has developed a unique logistics solution between German sites and the Hungarian Audi factory in Györ. Among other things the new concept reduces transport time on a 630 kilometer stretch of railway by almost two hours to a current figure of only about ten hours.
In May 2003 Schenker Deutschland AG brought its production supply center (PVZ) for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in Hanover-Stöcken into operation.
Many purchased parts for VW and Audi production come from France. Here, too, supply is provided in line with requirements and JIT.
