Just before Christmas, the latest developments of well-known German auto makers left on their trip to the Detroit Motor Show (January 11 to 25, 2009) – and Schenker Deutschland AG was responsible for handling this valuable freight.
Highly environment-friendly and innovative prototypes are currently high up on the agenda at the Trade Fair/Logistics office in Stuttgart – as this year Schenker Deutschland AG is transporting several hybrid/electric cars to the world's biggest and most important motor show in the USA.
"With its customer-focused and high-mileage cars, the German manufacturers can also score points during the current crisis. We are proud that the services we provide play a part in presenting innovative vehicle concepts to the US public," says Michael Korn, Deputy CEO of Schenker Deutschland AG and responsible for, among other things, global trade fair logistics. "This year once again, numerous automotive manufacturers have asked us to handle the logistics for their trade fair stands in the USA."
For international trade fairs like the Detroit Motor Show, the experts at DB Schenker offer a very special kind of all-round logistics service: they not only handle the delivery of the exhibits but, at the request of the customer, also ensure punctual supplies of promotional and information material to the trade fair stands. Moreover, the trade fair package also includes the return transport of all exhibits to Germany. As part of this service, the team of experts also handles all the customs formalities for the customer shipments leaving and returning to Germany.
