DB Schenker in Romania

The most competent partner for efficient logistics in Romania

At the end of 2008 DB Schenker acquired the biggest logistics provider in Romania – Romtrans thus adding the only fully extensive logistics network in Romania to the DB Schenker Corporation.

This move has vastly expanded Schenker’s market presence in Romania. Seven Romanian branch offices have now been added to the four existing DB Schenker branches. Furthermore, Romtrans has a further 80 offices spread all over Romania in strategically important locations.

The most intensive experience in Romania
Customers profite from the Romtrans takeover twofold: Firstly, DB Schenker has expanded its network considerably to also include warehouse and logistic areas. To be specific: Not only has the quality of transport reached a new level, but the value added logistics services portfolio has also been greatly expanded. DB Schenker has benefitted vastly from the competence and experience of Romtrans, which was the Romanian nationalised logistics company up till 1994 and has therefore more national market expertise than any other provider.

DB Schenker Romtrans: The new force in Romania.
Prior to the merger with Romtrans DB Schenker employed 150 staff in the Romanian subsidiary up till the end of 2008. Today that number has increased to 1,300! It stands to reason that the potential for the logistics provider and for its clients has expanded vastly along with the increased number of staff. If you need a well-established logistics partner for your
national or international logistics needs in Romania DB Schenker simply cannot be overlooked.
